New York Yankees icon Derek Jeter exited the big leagues, keeping his head held high after having a Hall of Fame career wearing the Pinstripes. The former shortstop always thought about what was best for the team and worked his way through it. He achieved many titles in his two-decade career because of his hard work. But even someone like Jeter, who dominated sports for a long time, needed his wife’s supporting hand to start a promising venture. 

Earlier in 2022, during the promotion of the ESPN-produced docuseries, Jeter opened up about the same and credited his wife for being his support system. Notably, she helped Jeter as he started his newest endeavor, Greatness Wins.

What did Derek Jeter say about his wife?

While promoting his docuseries, the former shortstop sat for many interviews. One of which was with PEOPLE, where he talked not only about his documentary but about his life and career. This also included the Hall of Famer’s recent venture into the clothing line with Greatness Wins.

By saying, “I’m not a big shopper,” Jeter went on to thank his supermodel wife for helping him look the part in his endeavor. “I sort of trust her most of the time. I won’t say all the time. Most of the time, I trust her. So I leave it to her. I cannot take credit for any of that.”

By saying this, the former Yankee indirectly admitted that he might be good at many things, but fashion is certainly not one of them. Therefore, having his wife beside him to help with everything was a great thing.
