Steroids, poor decisions, and disappointment. The number of prospective careers that steroids have ruined is uncountable. À propos to that is the San Diego Padres shortstop, Fernando Tatis Jr., aka Bebo. With a solid start to his career, the light was shining brightly for Bebo. However, Tatis Jr. recently has become the center of news, and not for the right reasons.
Notably, Fernando Tatis Jr. hasn’t played a single game in the 2022 season due to a wrist injury. As discussions about the superstar shortstop’s return began, he tested positive for Clostebol, a banned substance in MLB. Consequently, he is now looking at an 80-game ban ahead of him that will keep him out of action for a long time.

How Did Fans React to Fernando Tatis Jr. Facing Suspension?
Notably, Tatis Jr. admitted to the consumption of the steroid as a medication for ringworms. He said, “It turns out that I inadvertently took a medication to treat ringworm that contained Clostebol. The fans voiced their “disappointment” and Bebo’s poor decision-making for this suspension. While expressing this disappointment, they said, “I thought it was ridiculous.” Another fan said, “I would say frustrated. We had such high hopes that he was going to come back and it’s like he was just getting ready to rehab and come back, and we had an amazing team with Soto here, and it just seems like a real letdown.”
When asked about Bebo’s difficult-to-believe ringworm excuse, fans said, “How would steroids help with ringworm?” Another fan pointed out, “I think at that level of playing, you know what’s going in your system.” Finally, in a humorous tone, another fan said, “Honestly, I wouldn’t have said ringworm. I probably would’ve come up with a different story.”
