The past 24 hours have been one filled with dread for the Yankee Nation. The New York Yankees captain Aaron Judge feeling “beat-up” had sent a lot of the Bronx region into a state of panic. Now All Rise has revealed the cause of that feeling. As it stands, Judge was feeling uneasy in his abs (abdominal region).
However, the star had his MRI done and fortunately, it came back clean. Famous insider Gary Phillips revealed that Judge will do defensive work but won’t be doing batting practice today. The Bronx Bombers were already suffering from a potential Gerrit Cole elbow injury. Now with these abdominal issues of Judge – is 2024 off to a bleak start already?
The moment Aaron Boone said that Judge felt “mid-spring training beat-up” everyone had their guards up. Things had already been difficult for All Rise this spring training. With only 2 hits in 14 at-bats, Judge was struggling but at least, he was fit. However, that uneasy feeling in his abdominal muscles has hit the fanbase like a dagger. However, for now, there’s some good news for the Bronx Faithfuls.

Aaron Judge has revealed that though he won’t be doing any batting practice today, he’ll be back to his swinging ways soon. All Rise claimed that he’ll go back to hitting by the end of the week. However, Judge’s chances of playing tomorrow aren’t looking very good. The fact that he isn’t trying to push a comeback shows that the superstar is ready to skip a game for his health. So at least for now, the Yankees can take a sigh of relief.
However, things are still pretty bleak for the Bombers. While Judge’s injury may not be as serious as feared, there’s still a lot of unclarity regarding Gerrit Cole.
Aaron Judge comments on Gerrit Cole’s injury
The news of Gerrit Cole feeling uneasy in his elbow silenced the entire Yankees clubhouse. The thought of playing without their Cy Young-winning ace was previously unimaginable. As a result, while the world awaits the results of Cole’s MRI, Aaron Judge joined in with the Yankees in praying for the best possible outcome.

“I know he’s (Cole) not bouncing back the way he is, but that guy’s a perfectionist. So I’m hoping for the best news. Even if it’s him being out a couple of weeks, whatever it is. I’ll take that over anything more, so we’re all praying for the best,” said Judge.

Notably, Cole was still able to throw 95-97 mph pitches. However, the issue was his below-average recovery for March. That has sent the New York Yankees on a frenzy as suddenly their season seems to be in danger. But with Judge’s positive news, at least for the time being, the Brong Bombers have one less worry in their head.
