Derek Jeter spent his entire 20-year-long MLB career with the Pinstripes. He made his Major League as well as Yankee debut in 1995, three years after getting drafted by the Yanks for $800,000 in the drafts. The shortstop left his college education and college baseball to pursue a future in MLB. And 20 years down the line, the world can vouch for that decision being fruitful enough.

Notably, Jeter announced his retirement from baseball in 2014. In 2017, the Yanks retired his jersey number two and a plaque of his name in Monument Park. Eventually, in 2020, Derek Jeter’s name was added to the MLB Hall of Fame with a significant 99.75% majority.
