The St. Louis Cardinals bowed out from the race to the MLB World Series but are still making big news all over again. They have recently stated about retaining 41-year-old veteran Adam Wainwright for another season.  

Having made his MLB debut with the Cardinals in 2005, Wainwright has stayed loyal to the team to date. Entering MLB as a bright prospect, he has proven his mettle over the long many years. Wainwright is a three-time All-Star who won the World Series in 2006.

Wainwright is still going strong at an age when most other players conclude their playing careers to be with family. He has already built a Hall Of Fame-worthy career. He simply wants to extend his legacy further. Therefore, the Cardinals administration has ensured to honor his loyalty and dedication.

Adam Wainwright is among the golden trio of MLB veterans highly treasured by the Cardinals. Wainwright forms the sacred triangle of high-class performers for the Cardinals with Albert Pujols and Yadier Molina.
