‘A-Rod’ filed a lawsuit against the MLB administration to fight the strict punishment meted out to him. But his counterpunch had no effect. However, as 2015 set in and he made his comeback, everything gradually normalized. ‘A-Rod’ continued to smash home runs and win games for the Yankees.

‘A-Rod’ announced his retirement in 2016. Much to his surprise, the MLB office invited him in 2018. The reason was to represent MLB in England. ‘A-Rod’ got appointed as the MLB ambassador for the New York Yankees vs Boston Red Sox foreign games. The prime arch-rivals of baseball played in London in 2019.

Upon getting the call and the offer, an amused ‘A-Rod’ said, “It was surreal. Same building, same revolving doors, same security guards, but a completely different situation.” Rodriguez’s life has been dramatic through and through. That brings into account both his playing career and life beyond. He now lives life as a broadcaster, analyst, and entrepreneur.
