In an astonishing revelation, Yankees legend Alex Rodriguez shared his experience of playing Golf. With no surprise, it came as a shocker for many fans. For someone who used to excel in hitting home runs, his struggle with Golf is real. Speaking about the preparations, since last week, Rodriguez has been preparing for the championship by practicing at Lake Tahoe in Nevada and the Rickwood Fields.

The event is expected to run from July 10 to 14 at the Edgewood Tahoe in Stateline, Nevada. Along with A-Rod, several other names are returning to play. Joining him, NFL legend Jerry Rice, Aaron Rodgers, Steve Young, Tony Romo, and a few more, will be present. While others have a fair idea of Golf, especially Rice, Alex Rodriguez shared his struggle through an Instagram story.

Alex Rodriguez’s struggle with Golf continues despite relentless practice

Not the first time A-Rod snapped a series of photos and kept it on his Instagram story. Surprisingly, the caption of one post read, “I used to play 162 games a year, now it’s hard to play 18 holes.” Especially for the Yankees, Rodriguez has played 1,509 games, thinking that it could give him an edge in Golf. However, if we analyze deeply, a golf hit is a ‘slice’ that should come with grace. On the contrary, a baseball bat is made to only smash the ball out of the park.

Also, recently, Rodriguez came up with a similar statement on his Instagram post, “Harder than Baseball.” However, the post got criticism from Golf fans on social media. Additionally, Alex criticizing Golf on social media every few days clearly shows that he’s struggling. Despite having years of experience in baseball and success in the Major leagues, he’s finding golf to be a tricky sport.

Perhaps that hasn’t impacted his determination to learn Golf. In fact, he has been regularly visiting Golf practice pitches and putting in the work. It will be his first appearance at the Lake Tahoe Championship, and playing against Golf veterans like Jerry Rice won’t be that easy. However, last year’s champion will miss the 2024 Golf Championship, giving an edge to others and a new player like Alex Rodriguez.

Steph Curry misses out & Lake Tahoe Championship insights

This time, the reigning champion, Steph Curry, will miss out on the 2024 Golf championship. He was flawless in the 2023 championship when he scored a walk-off-eagle on the final hole and etched his name on the title. However, in 2024, he has got national commitments. He is busy preparing for the Olympics and will represent Team USA.

However, it will be his last NBA assignment, and he hopes to retire after the tournament. This will open doors for him to play Golf at full capacity. Still, if not him, there will be Jacksonville Jaguars and Trevor Lawrence at the event. Both have scored back-to-back 4,000-yard seasons and will aim to win the Lake Tahoe Championship.  Regarding the event, it comes with a heavy price pool of $750,000. Although the winner will get $150,000, the remaining $600,000 will be kept for charity purposes.

Undoubtedly, with players who have prior experience, it won’t be easy for Alex Rodriguez. He is new to Golf, and it will take him a few years to master it completely. Rest, he’s training at the Rickwood Field with an aim to clinch the American Century Championship for the first time.
