Since the ex-celeb couple started dating in 2017, they have stayed in the headlines throughout their relationship. Something similar happened when almost two years into their relationship, Lopez sat for an episode of The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon and got intense talking about then-boyfriend Alex Rodriguez.

They showed their love for each other at every chance they got and never once shied away from talking about how in love they were during their relationship. While on the show, Fallon asked the actress why her speech accepting the Video Vanguard award 2018 consisted mainly of the former Yankee. She started to well up as she said, “He’s come into my life and really contributed in such a way, so supportive. He’s so loving. He’s like shine, just, ‘Be the best.’ It’s just a beautiful thing… just a very generous, loving spirit, soul.”

As the words she spoke made her emotional, JLo’s face had a pure and proud smile about Rodriguez. No matter what happened between the two of them that eventually led to their breakup, one cannot deny that they constantly pushed each other to be their best. 

Why did the couple break up?

In early 2021, many rumors surfaced that said various things about the breakup of the famous couple. Which the couple later denied. But then, on April 15, 2021, together, they put out a statement that they had indeed broken up but would remain friends.
