In 2008, Derek Jeter released a watch in collaboration with Movado. According to Page Six, Jeter and Movado were holding an event to unveil the watch on September 16th at the Four Seasons Hotel. The event seemed to draw a lot of attention and fans, especially girls, were ringing up the phones at the Four Seasons to attend the event.

Julian Niccolini, co-owner of the Four Seasons at the time, said, “It’s like a stampede of ladies calling with hopes of catching a glimpse of Mr. Jeter.” At the time, Jeter was at the height of his popularity and the ladies really wanted a chance to meet him.
