Raising children is already a tough job, and it gets harder when it comes to raising four children. Derek and Hanna married in 2016 and have four children together. While the father is already fond of his three little princesses, the arrival of a new prince changes things a bit. While Hanna and Derek sat for an interview with Francesca Amiker in a show named How Hannah and Derek Jeter Do “Date Night” with 4 Kids,” they answered several secrets about the changes they have been going through with four children, including Derek’s experience with his son.

The initial discussion started with the chaos of traveling with the kids, and then eventually, the host asked the father about his experience of having a little boy, and shockingly, the former Yankees’ shortstop said, “first of all, it’s, it’s strange.” Then he continued explaining the fact, “Because, I have a younger sister. I’ve never had a brother, and then we have three girls. So, this is the first boy. I have a nephew, but you know, not with him every single day. So it has been kind of strange to even just see a boy as opposed to the girls that I’m used to.”

He keeps explaining that it is nice to see a boy, as he has been used to the habit of seeing girls around him in the house. So Jeter said it was an outstanding experience to have a boy member in the family, though his love for his girls won’t be affected by it. The couple also discussed their children’s education, preparing lunches, and how their three sisters adore their younger brother. They even shared their experience of having four kids together on a road trip to Cooperstown for the Hall of Fame event, which was total chaos. Also, the 5x World Series Champion shared his secrets as a family man, and as a father.
