Dating back to 2001, when Jeter was a rising star in MLB, the former Yankees captain appeared on Saturday Night Live dressed as a woman. Not only did he appear on the show, but the former Yankee seemed very supportive while doing his part.

Derek Jeter was at his best in the Saturday Night Live

Notably, it was a big deal for an athlete as famous as Derek Jeter to dress as a woman and roast himself on National television. Even with a cameo role, Jeter stole the show. Jeter played the Yankees star Alfonso Soriano’s wife in the SNL episode.

In one of the scenes, the woman who played Roger Clemens’ wife said something hilarious related to baseball. She said since they are women so it will be a cowpen for them, not a bullpen.

“We call it a cowpen because it’s the lady’s bullpen,” said Roger Clemens’ wife’s impersonator.

And when the other ladies asked how Derek Jeter — who played Alfonso’s wife — ended up marrying the Yankees slugger, he narrated the funniest story.

“It’s the cutest, sweetest story… I was at Senor Frog’s in Jamaica and Alfonso was judging a bikini contest that I was in. And I went up to him and I was like you are the most beautiful man I have ever seen…,” Jeter described as Alfonso’s wife.

“He was like you just saying that because I played for the Yankees. I was like, you are right. And we fell in love.”
