A-Rod’s MLB prowess needs to introduction and as the owner of Minnesota’s NBA and WNBA teams, he’s also a part of the professional basketball world. Owner of A-Rod Corp, being a businessman comes naturally. But what one might sometimes forget is that Rodriguez even dipped his toes in Hollywood.

Dating Jennifer Lopez from 2017, the ex-couple appeared to be in love each time they stepped out into the public. In 2019, Rodriguez proposed to J-Lo in what she described as a dreamy romantic setting, and she said yes. COVID-19 and the recurring lockdowns ruined a lot of timelines but the popstar still had a few ideas in mind for her special day. And Lopez once revealed a heartfelt wish that she wanted to execute in her wedding to A-Rod.

Jennifer Lopez Wanted a Church Wedding With Alex Rodriguez

Traditional church betrothals with the band playing “Here Comes the Bride” are not commonplace anymore. For those who prefer destination weddings or outdoor ceremonies, or no rituals at all and go straight to the court, churches are a no-go. And that’s the route Jennifer Lopez also took for the first three times she got married.

But in her own words, since the first two didn’t last long, J-Lo wasn’t too deeply connected to those days. Before her fourth, and what was then presumed to be the final time, Lopez had been married to Marc Anthony. While the two share twins Emme and Max, their marriage has been long over. With Alex Rodriguez, the singing sensation wanted to go the customary way and get married in a church.

“I’d like a big wedding and I’d like to get married in a church this time. I’ve never been married in a church, I’ve been married three times,” the pop star says in her It’s My Party Tour Diary, Episode 1. “Once was 9 months, once was 11 months, so I don’t really count those. But I was married to Marc for 10 years, with the kids.”
