Major League Baseball’s Hall of Fame is considered the best Hall of Fame, according to Forbes magazine. Not every player can get into it, but the ones who do are the best players in the history of the game. Over the years, a debate is going on for certain players to be in the Hall of Fame. That includes the former Yankee, Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez.

Many players have not gotten into Cooperstown, and there is a pretty big reason for that. The ‘steroid era’ in baseball is the reason for many players not getting inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame. Those players include Alex Rodriguez, home run king Barry Bonds, Roger ‘Rocket’ Clemens, and many others.

A-Rod thinks that PEDs usage should not ban the players from getting into the Hall of Fame, but that is his opinion. He also got asked about his opinion on whether Bonds and Clemens should be in the Hall of Fame.

What did Alex ‘A-Rod’ Rodriguez say about Bonds and Clemens?

Rodriguez once joined Stephen A. Smith, Max Kellerman, and Molly Qerim Rose of First Take to have a discussion over players getting into Cooperstown. The fourteen times all-star player, Rodriguez, got asked about his views if or not Bonds and Clemens should get voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame.

“The greatest single pitcher I’ve ever seen in my life that I played with and against is Roger Clemens, and the same goes for Barry Bonds,” Alex said.

Furthermore, he added, “I’ve never seen a better hitter, baseball player, and I’ve never seen a better pitcher than those two.”

The former baseball player did not give a direct answer to the question asked. But he did say that these two players are the best players for baseball.

Why did Rodriguez not get into the Hall of Fame?

Alex became eligible to get into the Hall of Fame this year, and a player requires 75% of the votes to get in. But A-Rod appeared on only 34.3% of the ballots.

Thus, he could not get into this year’s Hall of Fame. Twice in the seasons Alex played, he got tested positive for taking PEDs. And this might be the reason for him not getting in. Because of the same issue, he might never get in.
