New York Yankees call up Triple-A star Jake Bauers in the latest roster update

Injuries have plagued the Yankees this season, with several stars on the injured list. Most recently, the team announced that it is calling up Triple-A star Jake Bauers. This is a move to provide the team with some defensive versatility as Bauers plays in multiple positions. Talkin’ Yanks shared the news via a Tweet, with no corresponding move having been announced yet.

In a Tweet, Talkin’ Yanks said, “The Yankees are calling Jake Bauers up from AAA, per 

@ChrisKirschner. No word on the corresponding move yet”. Bauers have been batting really well with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre Railriders, the Yankees’ Triple-A affiliate. He owns a batting average of .304 with 9 home runs in only 21 games.
