New York is on a roll! It’s a fresh era for the Baby Bombers and they’re taking on the league with enthusiasm. While many think it’s too late in the season for the New York Yankees to make a comeback, others are confident about postseason contention. With the Martian in play, even captain Aaron Judge is impressed by his constant moonshots.

Jasson Dominguez was a huge favorite in spring training in 2023 but the Yankees didn’t activate him until September. In a crucial series against the Houston Astros, the switch hitter proved his worth. The Bronx team beat the reigning World Champs for the first time since 2013. And once again against the Detroit Tigers, the youngsters in pinstripes are putting on a good show.

Dominguez recently played his first game at Yankee Stadium, which is a special moment for any rookie. But to top things off, the young player also homered at a crucial moment in the game. It helped the Pinstripes break a third-inning tie and ultimately win against Detroit, 4-3. But the best part was perhaps that a clip from the dugout shows Aaron Judge’s reaction.

“Wow,” he mouths to someone off-camera as he gives them a high five. The captain’s face is in clear awe, which is truly something when it comes to home runs. After all, the reigning AL MVP constantly impressed the baseball world with his long balls last season, breaking the AL single-season HR record. The newbie is quite something to receive such high praise from his captain!

The front office may be receiving heat for their lack of moves but at least they did right by New York in signing Jasson Dominguez. To top it all off, the Martian is as humble as they come.

Dominguez’s New York Yankees Teammates Can’t Stop Gushing

The 20-Year-Old outfielder had a slow start in the minor leagues but he won his way to the top. And he credits it all to putting in immense work for improvement. “If you work really hard, when you get good results, it’s not going to be surprising because of all the work,” Dominguez said after the game.

Even Clarke Schmidt knows he’s something special, “He kind of has that `it’ factor.” Interestingly, it wasn’t just Aaron Judge who praised Dominguez’s performance as a veteran of the game. How he approaches the game to suit his talent is what Dominguez believes in.

“It seems like he obviously believes those things are real and so, therefore, he has a lot of trust, has a lot of confidence,” said ace Gerrit Cole. “He’s a humble guy, though, at the same time.”
