Both of them had two kids from their previous marriages. Fortunately for them, the kids part worked pretty well for them. Lopez used to handle pretty much everything easily, and the kids were always on her mind being her first priority. She knew that whatever she would do could easily affect the kids. So she was always about that.
In an interview with People, about the kids, Jennifer said, “They’re my everything. They’re my main purpose for doing everything I do. Because they’re my loves. My kids, Alex, his kids, and all of us together kind of creating this beautiful life and this family,.. all I think about is would they be proud of this?”
However, Alex and Jennifer got separated after being together for four years. Naturally, the kids were devastated by what transpired, but there was nothing they could do at that time.
