“Yankees Season Over Before It Even Started”- Houston Astros Leave Thousands in Disbelief With Their Latest Signing

The Houston Astros are presently one of the supreme powerhouses in MLB. They have won this year’s World Series championship. Consequently, they are making big news with almost every single move. Recently, the Astros are grabbing headlines with their latest recruit.
The Astros have had a remarkable campaign in this year’s MLB edition. Maintaining dominant form since the beginning of the regular season, they held onto the top position in zonal rankings. They clinched playoff berths with the zonal crown and were the first American League team to register 100 wins. However, all of those feats were possible because of their strong team formation.
Hence, to further empower their roster, the Astros have added first baseman Jose Abreu to their squad. Yet, the Astros fans didn’t appear excited about their favorite team’s decision. Many disappointed fans have pointed out Abreu’s age, as the slugger will turn 36 in January. Therefore, they have publicly expressed their opinions opposing the choice through social media.

What did the fans have to say about the Houston Astros’ newest pick?
The Astros have thus signed Jose Abreu to a three-year contract in a $58.5 million deal. He has played nine seasons for the Chicago White Sox since his debut until this year. He concluded the 2022 season with 15 home runs and 75 RBIs, averaging 0.304. But the Astros fans look rather unimpressed with Abreu’s inclusion.

Therefore, the common reason for a difference of opinions among the fans is thus clearly visible now. But the effectiveness of Abreu’s selection can only get noticed from next season onwards.
Abreu made his MLB debut as the White Sox’s first baseman. He won the American League MVP award in 2020. Additionally, Abreu is also a three-time All-Star player who has smashed 243 career total home runs until now.
