Since 2017, the Houston Astros have dominantly asserted themselves as the most successful, and strongest Major League team with six consecutive postseason appearances, along with two World Championships in 2017 and 2022. After honing his skills and making his debut with the team in 2011, Altuve has cemented his place as a reliable and decorated second baseman for the Astros. Back in 2018, the baseman signed a five-year contract with the Astros worth $151 million, that would extend until the 2024 season.
