Aaron Judge was the prime talk of the town for the most part of this year’s MLB season. He broke records, setting his own in the process, and took the New York Yankees to the postseason. Though the Yankees are now out of the regular season, a new opponent has shown up for Judge. Jose Canseco of the Boston Red Sox frame has recently posed a certain challenge to Judge.
Mounting up home runs amid trade rumors, Judge became the American League’s highest seasonal home run scorer this year. He also led the batting statistics in all categories until the Yankees held on to their campaign. However, everyone never gets impressed by everybody, so there are people to question Judge’s credentials too.

Therefore, Canseco has openly invited Judge for a batting showdown on social media. Canseco retired from the baseball scene as a player, a long way back in 2001. But Canseco believes that he can still hit the ball better than Judge. MLB fans have thus gone berserk over the claims and expressed their opinions.
Jose Canseco’s challenge to the enigmatic Aaron Judge
Aaron Judge smashed his way to 62 historic home runs this year. Thus, Judge set a new MLB record surpassing the legendary Roger Maris. While, during his playing tenure, Jose Canseco established a reputation as a prolific home run scorer. Back in 1988, Canseco became the first ever MLB player to slam 40 home runs and also steal 40 bases in the same season.

Therefore, not everyone got thrilled by Canseco’s words and very few believed Judge would take this bait.

However, if Judge ever accepted the challenge, it would have been a grand home run fest.

Judge made his MLB debut for the Yankees in 2016. He won the American League Rookie of the Year Award in 2017. Judge is a four-time All-Star player.

On the other hand, Canseco made his MLB debut for the Oakland Athletics in 1985. He also played for the Texas Rangers, Boston Red Sox, Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays, Yankees, and Chicago White Sox. Canseco is a six-time All-Star player who won two World Series championships.
