Rodriguez had introduced his crush to his friend during the game, and they hit it off right from that moment. This interaction eventually leads to Jeter stealing his friend’s crush.

Alex Rodriguez signed a deal with Texas Rangers for ten years with a whopping $252 million in 2001, and Jeter did too, with the Yankees for ten years at $189 million. A-Rod might have gotten a bigger deal than Jeter, but it was ‘The Captain’ who got the girl at the end.

Alex asked out Enriquez at a game in Puerto Rico to be his date in the all-star game in Seattle that year. When A-Rod introduced Joy to Jeter, they started talking and immediately hit it off.

According to a source, “Joy wasn?t exactly sure of Alex?s intentions, but she and Derek just couldn?t keep their eyes off each other.”

Despite living on different coasts at the time, the duo has gone out many times. Apparently, their dates included going to the games and having dinner together. Stating the reason why Enriquez is in New York often, the source said, “Joy is in New York a lot because of her music.”
