Rarely does an entire fanbase become completely enamored by a player from the day of his arrival. Usually, love takes some time to manifest itself but this isn’t an ordinary team. It’s the New York Yankees – here rules get rewritten. Juan Soto has just become the prime witness of that fact. Ever since the superstar stepped foot on the Yankee Stadium he has been serenaded with nothing other than cheers. In failure or success, the fans have shown their love and that has affected the Dominican Slugger.

When fans start giving you their unconditional love, you must perform well. Something similar has happened with Soto too. The superstar has consistently tried to engage with the fanbase. He has done so by bowing to them during his roll call to entering a classic New York song. However, now Soto has also revealed his intentions of paying back the fans in the best way possible.

The media interviewed Juan Soto after scoring his first home run in the Yankee Stadium. The superstar looked elated with the result but more importantly, was enjoying all the love he was getting. So naturally Soto had a few things to say about the fans’ unending love for him.

“They’ve been showing the love every day and it’s been amazing. Day in, day out, and in the entire game. That’s pretty dope,” Soto said. Ever since this arrival, Soto has been the absolute favorite of the Yankee Nation. The fact that the stadium was deafeningly loud when he first came into the field is proof of how much craze this 25-year-old commands.

As a result, Soto shared that he likes giving back some of that love back to the fans. “They’re giving you a lot of love, so you’ve got to give them some love back,” Soto expressed. Certainly, his constant interactions with fans prove those words to be true. However, it seems even in the clubhouse Soto’s popularity is rising.

Is Juan Soto’s rising popularity in the New York Yankees clubhouse a positive sign?

Per FOX Sports the Yankees third base coach Luis Rojas has compared Soto to Aaron Judge. “He’s liking New York a lot, he’s liking the clubhouse a lot…I’m telling you, I’m amazed. I’ve been surprised of his personality at a young age. When I met (Aaron) Judge, I saw a similar type of attitude,” Rojas said. “In your wishlist, you want to keep him forever,” Rojas said later.

Oswaldo Cabrera’s comments to the New York Post also reveal something similar. “He’s an incredible guy, he’s not just a good baseball player, outside of the field he’s an amazing person too. Everybody loves that guy inside and outside of the field.” Cabrera said. Clearly, the Soto love extends well beyond the Yankees fanbase.

Could this love lead to a long-term deal down the road? The Yankee Nation certainly wishes it did. Rarely do you get a match as good as Soto is proving to be for the Pinstripes.
