Notably, just a week back, the Texas Rangers released him from their minor league team. But the former St. Louis Cardinals star ended up signing for the Pinstripes. Now, the main question is how will the Yankees utilize him, and what does he bring to the table for the team?
Is this a wise move by the New York Yankees?
It has to be. Because the Yankees are struggling with injuries to their key players. Although they are winning the games, this one signing will give many options to Aaron Boone. The Pinstripes have signed him as a designated hitter and, having played for over 11 years in the big league, he will bring his experience to the Yankees.

Per ESPN, the Yankees have signed him on a one-year contract. The three-time All-Star has 155 home runs in his 11-year big league career. Talking about his deal with the Yankees, Carpenter said he cannot wait to play for the best baseball team.
