According to a source, in an interview with The Athletic, Bonds spoke about his MLB Hall Of Fame exclusion saying, “A death sentence. That’s what they’ve given me. My heart, it’s broken, really broken. If they don’t want me, just say you don’t want me and be done with it. Just be done with it.”?

Barry Bonds’ vote count in the Hall Of Fame election read as low as 34.7% in 2014. While the votes did rise up to 60.7% in 2020, he is still short of the 75% criteria requirement for induction. With the debate further heating up year after year, the outcome will surely gain a lot of attention.
