When talking about Kathy Griffin, earlier this Sunday, Twitter permanently banned the 62-year-old comedian. Not many people might be aware of this; but Kathy has also done a promo song for the MLB team, the Chicago White Sox, in the past.

The video of the same is doing rounds on the internet. One can see Kathy wearing braids and a Sox hat while playing kazoo in the 44-year-old commercial.

Why did Twitter ban Kathy’s account?

Before getting a ban from Twitter, Kathy had put Elon Musk’s name on her Twitter profile while keeping her handle name as it was earlier. This was something that was against Twitter’s policy.

And in Musk’s own words, there will be more suspension without any warning if someone will try to impersonate a different person on the micro-blogging site.

“Previously, we issued a warning before the suspension, but now that we are rolling out widespread verification, there will be no warning. This will be clearly identified as a condition for signing up to Twitter Blue,” Elon Musk tweeted.

However, Musk also said if Kathy wants her account back, she can have it. But she must pay $8 to keep her blue badge.
