The same is happening in the ongoing series against their arch-rival, Boston Red Sox. The Yankees are dominating the Red Sox on their home turf, Fenway Park. However, a surprising thing happened on Friday. Even after being thrashed by the Yankees in the second straight game, the Red Sox players had a fun ride in Fenway Park.

Yes! Despite the loss against their biggest rival, the Red Sox players did the infamous ‘shopping cart’ celebration during the second game of the series. And internet people did not take the celebration very well.

Yankees fans target the Boston Red Sox for the weird celebration

Imagine losing a home game against your biggest rival, and instead of brainstorming, doing an unnecessary celebration in front of the home crowd. The Red Sox did the same on Friday. After losing the first game in a close encounter, the Red Sox lost the second game by a massive margin (12-5).

Meanwhile, Josh Donaldson and Matt Carpenter hammered a home run each and ensured the Yankees win the second game. Amid the game, the Red Sox players were having fun in their dugout. They hit the ‘shopping cart’ celebration. And it was enough for the Yankees fans to bash their rival team.

Taking to Twitter, one fan shared the visual of the same and said the Red Sox does not have any dignity left. Notably, the Red Sox are 15 games behind the Yankees in the current season.

Another fan found it embarrassing, while one fan even shared a hilarious video of a Red Sox player trying to grab the baseball and said they are asking Jesus to help them beat the Yankees.

Talking about the game, Aaron Judge also returned to the lineup in the second game. Notably, the AL MVP frontrunner was on rest in the first game.
