Years after his retirement from the ballpark, 1986 New York Mets World Champion Lenny Dykstra has become an active political commentator, through the modern-age medium of communication, Twitter. His comments are usually crass and almost always avoidable, just like in this case.

Greta Thunberg, a prominent climate activist, recently addressed a provocative comment made by kickboxer Andrew Tate, who boasted about his cars and their environmental impact in an attempt to mock Thunberg. Thunberg, however, did not take his comments lightly. She responded to Tate by saying, “yes, please do enlighten me. email me at smalldickenergy@getalife.com.”

How did Lenny Dykstra get involved in this completely unrelated and distant conflict?

All things considered, Dykstra, who’s a three-time MLB All-Star and 1986 World Champion, has absolutely nothing to do with either Greta Thunberg or Andrew Tate. But the former outfielder continued to do what he often does and decided to weigh in on Greta’s comments. He joined the internet battle without any invitation by bringing up her age, and boorishly, her physical size.

His first tweet, which included a picture of Greta Thunberg from a 2019 Magazine Cover, said, “Should Greta Thunberg – almost 17 (as opposed to 12) at the time of this cover photo 3 years ago – really be bringing up the size of people’s personal parts? (She’s the one who brought it up…)”

However, since the first comment wasn’t enough, Dykstra added another comment where he remarked on her diet and physical posture. He said, “In all seriousness, is she getting enough to eat? Total vegan diet or otherwise not enough fats might explain it. I am assuming she isn’t transitioning or on puberty blockers or some other Rachel Levine-advocated thing.”

Not the first time!

Dykstra’s MLB career is popularly remembered for his World Championship victory with the New York Mets in 1986. However, his comments on Ukraine and Brittney Griner, amongst many others, uncover a facet of his personality that completely eclipses his accomplishments within the ballpark.
