The city that never sleeps is suffering from dire wildfires burning in Canada. Meanwhile, an outspoken MLB veteran has a distinct take on the entire situation. Known for his controversial remarks on sensitive topics, ex-New York Mets star, Lenny Dykstra, has once again found himself in the eye of the tornado.

Most recently, Dykstra concocted a conspiracy theory about the wildfires. The forests in Canada have been burning since late April and have already displaced thousands of people. But do these wildfires have a secret agenda hidden behind them? The 3x All-Star Lenny Dykstra seems to think so!

Over 400 fires are currently burning in Canada. With it, the country is said to have the worst-ever wildfire season of its history. The rolling wildfires are affecting America’s New York City the most, home to the MLB’s two franchises. The fires have been burning for over a month now. And with every passing second, it is becoming even more hazardous for the people getting affected.

The ex-Mets star, however, seems to think that the wildfires are nothing but a front for the government to launder money. On his Twitter handle, Dykstra shared a message saying, “Forest fires are another deep state money laundering scheme of a different flavor. They create the fires, the gov allocates tens and hundreds of millions of dollars in disaster relief, the money disappears, the politicians get their kickbacks, rinse, repeat. Same Playbook.”

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. Even so, Dyktra’s thinking of the wildfires as a conspiracy might not be able to help those in need suffering at the hands of fires burning since late April.

Things do not seem to get better soon!

NYC would want to be at the top of many things. But being at the top of the world for the worst air quality in the world might not be it. The city has been a victim of an orange-hazed sky full of air pollutants for over a day. According to the National Weather Service, however, the tangerine-colored sky might not completely disappear for the next few days.
