Before being diagnosed with cancer, Liam Hendriks had just earned his second consecutive All-Star nod with the Chicago White Sox. Furthermore, in 2021, he even took home the AL Rivera Reliever Award for the AL’s best relief pitcher. Hendriks is a key part of the White Sox’s bullpen and one of MLB’s best closing pitchers.
