People across the world are mourning the passing of Lisa Marie Presley, daughter of rock and roll legend Elvis Presley. Her death came as a shock to many as she had attended the Golden Globe awards just a few days ago. Many fans have wished the family well and sent their condolences. One such person is none other than New York Mets legend Lenny Dykstra.

The retired MLB legend sent a message in honor of Lisa Presley shortly after her death. Furthermore, Dykstra made the message very personal by using very special words in it.

MLB legend Lenny Dykstra honored Lisa Marie Presley using her father’s song lyrics

Dykstra tweeted in honor of Lisa Marie and made it special by including lyrics from one of her father’s songs. Furthermore, he used lyrics from Elvis Presley’s ‘One Broken Heart for Sale’ to convey the loss that many people are feeling.

In the Tweet, Dykstra wrote, “‘She turned and walked away And told me I was playing Some guys have all the luck And my heart hasn’t any.’ – Elvis Presley #PrayersForLisaMariePresley”. Using the lyrics from one of Elvis’ songs was a very fitting way to pay homage to Lisa Marie. Many fans are surprised by her death considering the fact that she was only 54 years old.

What caused Lisa Marie’s death?

According to the latest reports, Lisa Marie Presley passed away after suffering a cardiac arrest. Per The Insider, “Lisa Marie Presley, the daughter of the rock ‘n’ roll legend Elvis Presley, has died after going into cardiac arrest at the age of 54.” This happened only two days after she was seen attending the Golden Globe Awards with her mother.
