Bryce Harper as a 7-year-old

With the NLCS raging on, Bryce Harper is in the form of his life. Going from strength to strength it seems he has his eyes firmly set at the World Series. So when Jon Morosi of the MLB network interviewed Paul Sewald and asked him about Harper, Sewald decided to tell them a little about his history with “The Showman”.

“We’d have younger Bryce come out and be the best player, even when he was three years younger than us. Things haven’t changed.”

So Bryce was a star right from the very beginning. This is not the first time that Paul has talked about this. In 2022 when he appeared on the Chris Rose Rotation he had this to say “He was like 7 or 8 he was already better than all of us that were on our 10-11 year old teams…. It was like wish we get this 7 year old to our 10 year old team…because he’d probably be our best player. So it was pretty early everybody could tell that Bryce was a little different than everybody else…” He went on to describe how Harper was hitting home runs while he was 7 leaving everyone shocked.
