Almost eight years after getting retired from wearing the pinstripes and playing the game he loved dearly, the Yanks’ management brought Jeter back to the Yankee Stadium to celebrate his legendary career. Captain Clutch coming back to the Yankee Stadium became a hot topic in MLB town. Hence, in one of the interviews that Derek sat for the YES Network, he revisited one core memory from his iconic career that became a part of his dreams after he got retired.

Derek Jeter could never forget this one memory

Jeter played only for the New York Yankees in the entire twenty years of his MLB career. Playing for the Yanks wearing the pinstripes was a dream come true for a kid who started playing baseball when he was only four years old. It’s not like Derek never faced any hurdles in his journey to reach the top. The thing that makes him different is that he never gave up. Jeter worked harder than many, eventually becoming a game legend.

Hence, during the interview, the host asked Derek if there was something he missed about his baseball career. Without missing a beat, the Hall of Famer said, “I don’t care how much success you have post-playing career. There’s nothing you can do or have fifty thousand people chanting your name. I really can’t think of another job or another profession in the world, so yeah, you miss it. I still hear it sometimes when I’m asleep (laughs).”
