In a Tweet, Bollinger said, “Mike Trout underwent successful hamate surgery today, Phil Nevin said. The surgery was the only way to heal the injury, Nevin said. His timeline of 4-8 weeks remains the same”. Although some experts remain hopeful for a 4-week return, it looks unlikely at this point. Furthermore, the injury comes when injury scares are rocking the Angels.

Shohei Ohtani left a recent game with an injury that luckily turned out to be a blister issue and nothing more serious.
