Fernando Tatis Jr. has been facing an 80-game ban for violating Major League Baseball’s PED policy. The San Diego Padres star shortstop has been one of the top performers in the last couple of years.

Ever since MLB has suspended Tatis, even his Padres teammates, including Manny Machado and Mike Clevinger, have gone against him. However, Tatis finally has someone from the Padres locker room to support him in such testing times.

Yes! The Padres outfielder, Jurickson Profar, has come into the support of Fernando Tatis Jr. after almost everyone abandoned him because of the MLB ban. Notably, Tatis has not played a single game this season because of the wrist injury. And right when he was about to make his comeback from the injury, MLB found him guilty of using PEDs (performance-enhancing drugs).

Jurickson Profar has got Fernando Tatis Jr.’s back

Per Dennis Lin of The Athletic, the Padres outfielder Jurickson Profar lent his support to star teammate Fernando Tatis Jr., who is facing an 80-game suspension. Profar said he is in regular touch with Tatis, who is feeling bad for his mistake.

“He’s feeling very bad,” Profar said to The Athletic writer. “You make one mistake, and everyone wants to crucify you. But not me. I’m there to support him and get him through this.”

Profar also asked Tatis to come to the ballpark and speak with his teammates. “I think he is coming one of these days,” the Padres outfielder said.

This support from Profar will mean a lot to Tatis. Because earlier this week the other teammates, Manny Machado and Mike Clevinger, strongly criticized the 23-year-old shortstop for making such a mistake.

When will Tatis play again in the ballparks?

Since MLB has banned him for 80 games, there is no chance that Fernando Tatis Jr. will play any game this season. Because even if the San Diego Padres make it to the World Series this year, they cannot play 80 games.

And considering this fact, it is certain that not only the current season but Tatis will also miss a huge part of the next season.
