The Boston Red Sox are one of the most iconic teams in baseball. They have had numerous all-time great players play in their frame. One such elite player has recently expressed his desire to make an MLB comeback. That player happens to be the legendary, Manny Ramirez.

The Red Sox share the most infamous rivalry in baseball history against arch-rivals, New York Yankees. As opposed to the Red Sox, the Yankees have had a much better campaign this year. Consequently, the Yankees qualified for the postseason with the zonal championship crown. In addition, the Yankees even reached the American League Championship series against the Houston Astros.

Manny Ramirez took note of the Yankees’ progress. Interestingly, Ramirez played for the Red Sox in the famous World Series victory in 2004. The Red Sox miraculously won the ALCS against the Yankees that year. From a hopeless position of being 3-0 down against the Yankees, the Red Sox clinched the seven-game series 4-3.

Retired Boston Red Sox legend makes bold comment

Manny Ramirez was a tearaway slugger for the Red Sox. He made his MLB debut with the Cleveland Indians in 1993. Following on, he played for the Red Sox, the Los Angeles Dodgers, the Chicago White Sox, and the Tampa Bay Rays. The 12-time All-Star, Ramirez, won two World Series championships throughout his MLB career.
