Derek Jeter and Mariah Carey shared quite a good time together. Although it is a pity their relationship did not last long enough, it was long enough to give an experience of a lifetime to Mariah.

Dating back to the late 90s, when Jeter and Mariah were a couple; the two had a love story like Romeo and Juliet by Shakespeare. While recalling her memories with Jeter in her book “The Meaning of Mariah Carey,” the Rooftop singer also shared how Jeter made her feel living.

Derek Jeter was a man of dreams for Mariah Carey!

Per her book, Mariah specifically opened up about one moment she shared with her then-boyfriend, Derek Jeter. One night, after meeting Jeter, the pop star allowed the Yankees phenom to walk her to the car.

And in Mariah’s own words, she never felt more living. Jeter and Mariah had a two-minute walk to her car; And yet Jeter gave a lifetime experience to Mariah.

“Brazen as it was, I allowed Derek to walk me to the car, where a driver—aka Tommy’s agent, of course—was waiting. Being with him in that moment felt like living. I’ll never forget walking next to him that night, looking up at him, with his height and the way his athletic body moved. I felt diminutive next to him,” Carey wrote in her book.

It is no secret that Mariah dated Derek Jeter while being married to her then-husband, Tommy Mottola. And she did not want any complications in her life. However, she has also admitted that Jeter coming to her was one of the most beautiful things ever.

Although her relationship with Jeter did not work out, the young Yankee coming into her life gave Mariah the strength to part ways with Tommy. And as we know, Mariah and Mottola announced their separation in 1997.
