Alex Rodriguez had his glorious MLB career started off with the Seattle Mariners, where he became the youngest debutant in their history. Six years in, the shortstop moved to Texas after signing a mammoth $252million contract. However, for the most glorious part of his career, A-Rod moved to the Pinstripes in 2004, under captain Derek Jeter.

In consonance with that, when anyone is Yankee, they join the decade-old Boston Red Sox rivalry by default. Similarly, back in 2018, A-Rod and Mark Wahlberg placed a massive bet on the New York Yankees during the Division Series against the BoSox. However, A-Rod lost and saved the American actor from lots of humiliation.

Alex Rodriguez placed a risky bet on the New York Yankees

In an appearance on The Ellen Show in 2018, Mark Wahlberg discussed the bet, and how the BoSox saved him. At 2:55, Mark talks about the BoSox beating the Yankees in the 2018 ALDS and leaving A-Rod as a victim to the scary tasks ahead of him.

Wahlberg said, “He [A-Rod] had to come to Wahlburgers and basically do whatever my brother Paul told him. So Paul basically started him cleaning bathroom floors. He was cooking on the grill, flipping burgers, making drinks.”

Finally, he also revealed how the Yankees’ defeat saved him from an extremely humiliating bet that would involve him performing in his underwear at The Bronx. Thankfully, I don’t have to deliver on that bet.”

You guessed that right. After being with a Yankees legend for four years, Jennifer Lopez started dating and is now married to a die-hard Red Sox fan. The couple officially got married in Vegas and celebrated through an extravagant wedding in Georgia earlier this year.

On the other hand, A-Rod is in a rumored relationship with fitness coach Jaclyn Cordeiro. While neither of the parties has confirmed or denied the relationship, their social media handle is evocative enough.
