Not much is known about the history of Ashley Paddock Rodon. She and her husband choose to remain private about their lives. With a population of less than 3000, the town’s culture provides a haven for Ashley and her family.

Paddock is also a popular figure among the fans, partly because of her advocacy and her vocal personality. With over 8K followers on her Instagram, she has gained a solid fan following despite not posting much. A loving mother, she finds happiness in parenting her three children. 

When did they get married? Breaking down their relationship timeline

The love story of Ashley and Carlos Rodon began in 2014. While she was working in North Carolina over her summer break, Rodon was looking at his first-round payday from the Chicago White Sox, having just gotten drafted third overall by them. The two hit it off immediately, because as Paddock said, “We were just kind of two crazy kids who made it work.” (via New York Daily News)

Their relationship continued as Rodon scripted a meteoric rise and debuted in the White Sox at 22, a little less than a year after his draft. It was then that the couple faced first adversity when Rodon injured his biceps and shoulder. As a result, he had to go through an arthroscopic surgery in 2017. As Paddock said, this was the first time Rodon had to face adversity, so he required a lot of her support. 

Eventually, on January 6th, 2018, Ashley Paddock and Carlos Rodon got married in Costa Rica. The rest of 2018, however, proved to be a traumatic experience for the couple. But before that, one needs to know how they rose through and created a merry family of five. 

A family of five – Carlos, Ashley, Willo, Bo, and Silo

January 2019 was the beginning of the most comfortable time in the lives of Carlos and Ashley. It was then that the two found out they were going to be parents. Ashley Paddock couldn’t stop sobbing after she saw the ultrasound scans, where she saw a healthy, beating heart. After a year filled with traumas, this was the moment that gave her a powerful belief. However, she still raised caution by explaining, “I won’t be truly calm until I am holding our baby in my arms.” 

Then came July 14 – the happiest moment in the couple’s life – the birth of their daughter Willow Mo’orea Rodon. Her arrival proved life-changing, not only for Ashley, but Carlos as well. It was the time when Rodon was rehabbing from his Tommy John Surgery and was suffering from heavy mental health issues. Willow gave him hope and a newfound purpose to keep going. That was the moment Carlos Rodon rediscovered himself.

This happiness doubled in 2021 when the couple welcomed their son, Bo Antonio Rodon, into the world. Finally, in 2023, Ashley surprised the world by announcing the birth of their third boy, Silo Antonio Rodon. For the couple that had seen the most traumatic time one can see, this was a hallmark moment.

Carlos and Ashley Rodon’s life changed in 2018

Before every sunrise comes the darkest time of the night. Carlos and Ashley Rodon, unfortunately, had to experience perhaps the darkest period of their married life in 2018. The year began with a high. They got married on January 6th, but then life flipped upside down. 

In a few months, Ashley Rodon suffered through two miscarriages. During her first pregnancy, she was expecting a boy, but then a doctor’s appointment revealed heartbreaking news – the baby did not have a heartbeat after about 12 weeks. The couple tried to recover from this blow when Carlos and Ashley Rodon found out about her second pregnancy on Mother’s Day.

However, this time, the miscarriage happened much earlier. It happened on the same day Rodon was stuck in the head during a rehab start. They both were in emergency rooms that night. The couple leaned on their Christian faith and family to guide them through this tough time. Ashley had always wanted to be a mother, and this experience shook her.

But it was here that she first became vocal about mental health issues. Talking to others who had experienced a similar predicament, Ashley found comfort in their shared trauma. She quickly became involved in fertility issues, causes, and fundraising work for the Chicago Coalition for Family Building. It was this vocal nature of hers that turned her into a fan favorite.

The work that Ashley Rodon has done regarding mental health and fertility awareness has created a strong perception of her. Fans have gradually warmed up to her, as can be seen, because they celebrated the birth of all three of her children. But there were a few incidents that made her popular among the Yankees fans. 

During Rodon’s free agency in 2022, he discovered that a wooden house had caught fire. He used to pass through that house daily and saw a boy who lived there without any neighbors. At the same time, Rodon was receiving donations from the fans on his Venmo account, who hoped to entice him to join the Yankees. So Rodon and Ashley decided to use that money to buy a Christmas present for the boy and his family – a computer.

This incident warmed up the Rodons to the Yankees fans. Later, the Instagram posts and stories of Ashley Rodon with her children sealed the deal. The Bronx Faithful were all in on the Rodon family. And that has remained true ever since. Despite ups and downs, the Rodons have found true bliss and the best part? They are just getting started.
