Bo Bichette is a very talented player on the Toronto Blue Jays’ infield. He has made two All-Star teams and led the American League in hits twice since joining MLB in 2019. Not bad for someone still early in their career. His bat stays hot, and he is now one of the league’s most reliable contact hitters.

Bichette was homeschooled and played for Lakewood High in St. Petersburg before becoming a pro. He was the best player in Florida high school baseball. With a .569 batting average and 13 home runs in his senior year, he earned the Mr. Baseball award and the Gatorade Player of the Year award for Florida. Is Bo Bichette Related to Dante Bichette? Everything About His Father

Baseball runs in Bo Bichette’s blood. He was born to Dante and Mariana Bichette in Orlando, Florida, on March 5, 1998. His dad wasn’t just any major leaguer; he was a genuine star who made waves in the 1990s.

From 1988 to 2001, Dante Bichette had a distinguished career in Major League Baseball. He began his career with the California Angels and ended it with the Boston Red Sox. He was named an All-Star four times and won a Silver Slugger Award in 1995, the same year he led the National League in home runs and RBIs.

Dante stayed involved in the game even after retirement by being the hitting coach for the Colorado Rockies in 2013. Bo’s path to the majors was clearly shaped by an empowering baseball legacy.

Who Is Bo Bichette’s Mother, Mariana Bichette?

Mariana Bichette and Dante’s love story began in Boston, where she was going to college at Boston University and working part-time in the Lansdowne area. She got shifts at Gold’s Gym and that’s where she met Dante when his team, the Milwaukee Brewers, were in town to play the Red Sox in 1991.

Mariana was the rock of the Bichette family, making their home stable while Dante traveled during his playing career. She didn’t just help Dante on his way to the MLB; she also became Bo’s biggest fan and helped him follow his own baseball dreams.

Meet Bo Bichette’s Brother, Dante Bichette Jr.

Bo Bichette’s older brother, Dante Jr., also tried to make it big in baseball. The New York Yankees picked Dante Jr. in the first round of the 2011 draft. Because of an All-Star dad, both brothers were prioritized.

But Dante Jr. couldn’t make it as far as Bo. He worked hard in the minor leagues for years but never got the call to the big leagues. He played his last season of affiliated pro ball in 2019, which ended his playing career.

Even though things didn’t go as planned, the fact that both of Dante’s sons were drafted shows that the Bichette baseball genes are real.

Bo Bichette’s Ethnicity and Family Roots

Bo Bichette’s dad was born on November 18, 1963, in West Palm Beach, Florida. He is an American through and through, having grown up in Florida. But Mariana, Bo’s mom, adds a whole new flavor to the family tree.

She grew up in Porto Alegre, Brazil, where her father, Bo’s grandfather, had moved after leaving China.

So, Bo’s roots are cooler because they come from both China and Brazil. Mariana finally made it to the United States over twenty years ago. Since then, she has lived in America.

Bo Bichette’s family brings together American, Brazilian, and Chinese cultures.
