With 27 World Series wins in their corner, the New York Yankees are certainly a tough team to fight against. But in the last few years, they’ve not been able to play to their full potential, which happened in the 2022 season as well. After facing many ups and downs, the Yanks somehow managed to make it to the playoffs. But even that went into vain as they were swept up by the Houston Astros in the ALCS.
And considering those things, in the current off-season, the Yankees front office has made some big moves to have an even stronger roster in the ballpark for the upcoming season. Michael King, a Yankees reliever, recently, in an interview, put forward his thoughts on the Astros’ ability to beat the Yankees. To his dismay, instead of getting appreciated for making a bold claim, he was brutally mocked by baseball fans.

While calling the Astros a strong team, Michael King also called them the Kryptonite of the Yankees. Any move that the team made in this off-season, they got asked if that was enough to beat the Astros. But the baseball player believes, “There’s no chance an Astros team can stop us when we’re rolling.”
However, this statement did not garner the support for the Yanks that King might have been looking for. Instead, he got ruthlessly bashed by baseball fans for making an absurd claim like this. Following are some of the reactions of the fans.

Fans are calling the Astros a much better team than the Yanks, as they clearly dominated them in the playoffs. Whereas one of them thinks he heard Astros more from King than the Yankees.

Saying that the team has a ton of talent, the athlete went on to say, “We are by far the best team in baseball.” He also said that no team would want to face the Astros when they’re at their best. The baseball player added that if it wasn’t for some injuries, the Yankees would have played even better than they did in the last year’s postseason.
