Suzy Dunand is the mother of Joe Dunand, an infielder, who made his MLB debut with the Miami Marlins in 2022 and hit a homer in his first at-bat. The Marlins released him before he was acquired by the Braves. Joe Dunand is now playing in the Braves farm system for the Gwinnett Stripers, awaiting his next Major League stint. Joe recently proposed to his girlfriend too.

After moving from Manhattan to Miami, Alex Rodriguez’s father left his family and moved back to the Big Apple. Then, the onus of feeding the family was put on Lourdes, who started working two jobs a day to make ends meet.
