Five-time World Series champion Derek Jeter has secured many records under his name. But the one he is most proud of is being the father of his three little girls. The legendary shortstop retired in 2014, and all three of his girls were born after his retirement. They all are under the age of 10 and have not seen their father play for the New York Yankees.

All they know about Derek Jeter is that he is their father, who is also known by a few other people. The shortstop has always wanted to keep his personal life separate from his highly publicized professional one. And he’s been pretty successful at it as well. Not many of his relationships before Hannah were known to the public, and even now, people only know about his family as much as he lets them know.

He is keeping his girls away from the limelight and wants them to have a chance at living a normal life. Surprisingly, he is also at peace at knowing that his daughters have never seen him play.

How is Derek Jeter at peace with his daughters not knowing much about his career?

The shortstop Derek Jeter is now a father to three girls. For him, his career is in the past. It’s not something he has forgotten, but his priority now is his family. The proud father wants his daughters to look at him as their dad, and not as what he used to do. It’s not that he does not want his daughters to know about his achievements, but he thinks that right now, he should just be their dad.

“I almost like the fact that that’s a side they don’t know. I do because I want them to look at me as who I am when I am at home every day,” Jeter said.

Jeter is entirely different at home from what he used to be on the field. He is a doting father and husband. His daughters have seen clips of him playing. They do have a hint, but they don’t know everything. And maybe Jeter will sit with them one day and tell them the story of his incredible professional life.
