The October campaign is on for all the teams. While all the qualified teams have been already eyeing for the World Series, The Philadelphia Phillies have gone a step forward to it. Undoubtedly, players are the key to winning any game, but fans also play a vital role in giving the team strong support and motivation. Very few players acknowledge these efforts after the win. Making an exception, the Phillies star player expressed his gratitude towards his team and the fans, acknowledging them as family.

In their ongoing three-game series with The Miami Marlins, the Phillies captured the first game 4-1. After defeating the opponent in their home ground, Citizens Bank Park on Tuesday, Bryce Harper emotionally expressed his heartfelt message for the team and the fans.

The Philadelphia Phillies kickstart their Wild Card Series with a victory. After big wins, players often analyze and reflect on their performance during the post-game interviews. However, Harper did something exceptional on Tuesday. Despite taking credit for his contribution to the win, he highlighted the teams’ credit along with the fans’ support. He mentioned, “I mean, I think that’s what this team is all about. We’re a family in here and it’s 40,000 people out there plus 26. It was there last year as well. I mean it’s just, we all you know vibe the same way and we have such a great team, such good personalities in here that match so well with this fan base and this city as well.”

He further said, the first win is great, but they will hope to win more. Though the DH didn’t mention any particular player’s name to appreciate him, Zack Wheeler deserves it. The entire team was charged up against the Marlins on Tuesday, but Wheeler did a splendid job by striking out eight. Later, Nick Castellanos added an RBI double in the eighth inning to lead the team closer to winning. The star baseman also did well as he ran through a stop sign during the eighth inning to score the fourth run.

However, that’s not the first time, fans have witnessed Harper’s kind gesture for fans. He proved his concern for his fans a few days ago as well.

Harper made a young fan’s day with a kind Gesture

During their last regular series with the Pittsburgh Pirates, the 7x All-Star player made a heartwarming move even after a mishap and his early ejection from the game. He threw his helmet on his way to the dugout that a 10-year-old fan collected. To the fans’ surprise, the star slugger asked for the helmet and signed it so the little fan could keep it as a souvenir.
