It has been over a year since Alex Rodriguez broke up with his ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez. The two have not said a word about each other after their breakup. However, it seems like, knowingly or unknowingly, Jennifer is still a huge part of A-Rod?s life.

Currently, Alex Rodriguez is going through a tough time. Notably, earlier in 2021, A-Rod and his billionaire partner Marc Lore teamed up to buy the NBA franchise, the Minnesota Timberwolves for a whopping $1.5 billion. However, if the reports are true, the former Yankee is having trouble generating money to purchase the Timberwolves.

Although Jennifer has nothing to do with this deal, she might be indirectly involved in A-Rod?s partnership with Marc Lore. Even in July 2021, when A-Rod and Marc made the down payment of $250 million for 20% of the stakes, the former Yankee was the secondary partner in the deal.

Lore owns around 13% share of the Timberwolves, while A-Rod has just 7% of the shares in his name. Per Josh Kosman of the New York Post, A-Rod’s breakup with his ex-fiancee Jennifer Lopez is partly to blame for the current situation.?

Not to forget that A-Rod and Jennifer had teamed up with Marc Lore and failed to purchase the New York Mets. As a couple, A-Rod’s brand value was more. At least, that is what Lore believes, perhaps.?

The NY Post report also suggests that Lore teamed up with A-Rod for the Timberwolves deal because of Jennifer Lopez.
