Michael Jordan and Derek Jeter will go down as two of the greatest ever to play their respective sports. Jordan brought a new revolution in American sports while playing in the NBA, and Jeter became a synonym for the word “captain” while playing baseball.

Jordan started playing basketball in the mid-80s, while Jeter made his major league debut almost a decade later in 1995. And despite being a senior to Jeter, the NBA legend has always shared a good bond with the former Yankee.

Being a good friend, Jordan has always been there for Jeter. Be it making a surprise entrance in Yankee Stadium on Derek Jeter Day, or sharing a heartfelt note after the New York Yankees retired Jeter’s iconic jersey no. #2, Jordan has always stood side by side with Jeter.
