New York Mets are enjoying a good run in the ongoing MLB season. Under the guidance of visionary manager Buck Showalter, the Mets have been doing wonders in 2022. Given their red-hot form, an NBA superstar is the latest member to become a fan of the Mets this season.

Notably, coming off a poor season in 2021, no one expected the Mets to dominate the 2022 season. But guess what? The Buck Showalter-led team has completely dominated the National League. The Mets have been doing all of this when two of their best players, Max Scherzer and Jacob deGrom are not playing because of injuries.

In a league where heavyweights like the LA Dodgers, SF Giants, and San Diego Padres are the favorites to win the NL Pennant, the Mets have come out of syllabus for every opposition. Because no one imagined the Mets will play such an amazing game in the 2022 season.

Considering their red-hot form, this is the perfect time to become a New York Mets fan. And the NA star Donovan Mitchell is one of them. Recently, the Utah Jazz star made his presence in the Citi Field and took bullpen with the Mets players.

Taking to Twitter, the Jazz star shared a short video on the microblogging site. In the video, one can see him practicing in the Citi Field. He captioned the video, “Came back like Mike wearing 45.”

MLB insider Anthony DiComo, even confirmed that the Mets star, Francisco Lindor, gifted him a couple of gloves. “Francisco Lindor hooked him up with a pair of batting gloves after this round,” DiComo tweeted.

Can the Mets continue their domination?

Given the current scenario, the Buck Showalter-led team has emerged as the best in the National League. With 42 wins out of 65 games, the Mets are at the top of the NL, while teams like the Dodgers, Padres, and Giants are still fighting for the top spot.
