Even though Alex Rodriguez does not play baseball anymore, he is still a prominent name in the game. Having played for over 22 years in Major League Baseball, A-Rod achieved the pinnacle in the game.

However, earlier in 2021, a young NBA player admitted he did not know who Alex Rodriguez was. Notably, baseball is less popular compared to NBA games. But almost every American—even who does not watch sports — knows the MLB legend. And when the Timberwolves star, Anthony Edwards, said this, the news spread like wildfire.

Per usatoday.com, when asked about whether he knew the future owner of the Timberwolves, Edwards shockingly said that he does not even know who A-Rod was.

“A fan? Who is he?… I don’t know who that is. I know he’s going to be the owner. But I don’t know anything about baseball,” the Timberwolves rookie said.

Reacting to this incident, A-Rod handled it very well. Without creating any fuss, the Yankees legend shared the video on his Instagram story and captioned it, “Hi Anthony, I’m Alex.”

Usually, when an athlete retires from their respective sport, they prefer to spend the rest of their life spending more time with their family and friends. But A-Rod is a different breed. He, along with business mogul Marc Lore, bought the Timberwolves in 2021. The duo bought the NBA franchise for a whopping $1.5 billion.
