Since the inception of the four major leagues in North America, the four sports have regularly competed with each other to attain maximum crowd and prove their game as the toughest and most entertaining. However, while the stars of these leagues are often witnessed visiting another major league game, they don’t always enjoy it. Similarly, controversial NBA legend Dennis Rodman once made a shocking revelation about his love for baseball.

In an interview from 2017 with the CEO of Steiner Sports, Brandon Steiner, Dennis Rodman spoke about the first time we went to watch a baseball game and his disappointing outing at his first baseball game.

Is Dennis Rodman a baseball fan?

During the interview, in the starting segment itself, Steiner asked Rodman whether he’s a baseball or Yankees fan. Rodman, popularly known for his frank and honest responses, gave another blunt response that left the crowd in splits.

Rodman discussed his aversion to the sport and how he fell asleep the first time he watched a game in 1986. He said, “The baseball game I ever went to was in 1986. I wasn’t enjoying. That’s when I got tried to put with the business. So I went there, sat down in the front row behind the screen and in the fifth mini, I fell asleep. I am sorry. I’m not a baseball fan.”

Trying to bring some comfort to Brandon Steiner, who probably expected a different or more sugar-coated response, Rodman spoke about merely knowing Yankees legends, Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez. He said, “But you know, I know Derek Jeter, A-Rod, all those guys.”

The Worm: A career distinguished by stunning rebounding and defense

Dennis Rodman witnessed a relatively topsy-turvy career, but came out on top after winning five NBA Championships, seven NBA rebounding champion awards, and retiring as a Hall of Famer.

Infamously known for his piercings, tattoos, and hair color, Rodman made his MLB debut with the Detroit Pistons in 1986. 20 years down the line, the defensive and rebounding legend retired with the Brighton Bears after playing for over ten teams in his NBA tenure.
