On April 15, 2021, the former slugger and actress announced that they were breaking up after two years of being engaged. JLo removed every trace of Rodriguez from her social media handles after the breakup. A couple of days after the breakup, she liked a post on Instagram that notified the fans of her actual feelings about the breakup.
The author Reuben Holmes had written in a post, “Don’t make her think you care. when you have never given a f**k about her.”
Soon her fans realized that she was one of the thousands of people who had liked the post. Once again, speculations started getting around about the real reason for their breakup. According to a source of E!, “Jennifer’s friends for a long time had warned her that A.Rod was not a good guy and that he was using her to clean up his tarnished image after his many scandals. For years, Jennifer did not listen to the warnings, but now she believes them.”
Lopez once hired a PI to tail Rodriguez
The rumors of A-Rod cheating on Lopez stirred up at the start of their relationship. Hearing warnings from friends and then the published articles in newspapers led the pop icon to hire a private investigator to find out the truth.

Whatever JLo found or didn’t through that investigator is still unknown. But Rodriguez did get to know about the PI hired to tail him. This then instigated a fight between the couple, which they resolved quickly.
