A rep from the deli told TMZ back in 2014 that they would be offering a $28 sandwich to honor the Hall of Famer. The sandwich was named after Jeter, known as Derek Jeter Triple Club Sandwich. It came with two classic types of meat because of Jeter’s jersey number, one of turkey and the other one of bacon.

Aside from this, the sandwich was laced with multiple slices of American cheese. And the reason behind it was, “We chose American Cheese because nothing is more American than baseball.” Notably, fans loved it, and just like Jeter’s career, it was a huge success.

Derek Jeter never missed a chance to spread his charm. However, the Yanks’ rivals, the Red Sox, always booed Jeter for his outstanding play against them.
