Apart from being a brilliant player on the plate, the New York Mets star Eduardo Escobar is also one of the nicest human beings. His journey from an ordinary boy of Venezuela to playing for an MLB team is truly very special.
Mothers are very special to everyone. However, in Eduardo’s case, he would not have been playing baseball if not for his mother. Major League Baseball celebrates mother’s day in a special way. To spread awareness for breast cancer, players all around the league wear pink uniforms and accessories, including bats and gloves.

On this mother’s day, let’s talk about Eduardo Escobar, and how his mother became a source of inspiration for the Mets star and inspired him to become a professional baseball player.
Eduardo Escobar is a son that every mother deserves
Talking about the inspirational journey of Eduardo, Steve Gelbs of SNY narrated his story on the occasion of mother’s day. In Gelbs’ words, “no mother has been more of a motivating factor than Eduardo’s mother.” Because the Mets star has grown up in extreme poverty in Venezuela. To make it worse, his father left them when he was still a toddler.

“His father left the family when he was just a toddler,” Gelbs said. “Leaving Eduardo’s mother to raise and provide for a family of six, five children all by herself…”
Once, when Eduardo was 13 or 14, he saw his mother crying. To take care of six people on her own, she was devastated. And Eduardo could not see his mother like that. As per Gelbs, on that day, Eduardo made a promise to his mother that he will take care of his family by becoming a professional baseball player.
